R. Caresse Hightower was born in the happening city of Winston-Salem, NC where she attended Moore Elementary School.  She attended Atkins Middle School, home of the Camels; an appropriate mascot because Camels are very scary and intimidating creatures.  In 1996 she graduated from East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, NC where she played the flute in the marching band with all of the other really cool people.  From there she earned her B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

R. Caresse resides in North Carolina with her African Grey parrot, Pierre, an excessive collection of Martha Stewart magazines, and enough Carmex lip balm to permanently moisturize LL Cool J’s over-licked lips!
